I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter....the castoffs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I was angry. "God" I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment and then spoke softly,

Augies Doggies rescue is an all breed dog rescue started by Augusta Delisi at the age of 12 in effort to save the lives of animals who would otherwise be euthanized in animal shelters. Now, at the age of 17 Augusta has so far saved more than 100 dogs from being euthanized and has driven anywhere from 2 to 6 hours away to save the lives of animals in shelters. Augies Doggies just relocated from Pittsburgh,PA to Flossmoor,IL (about 30 min south of the city of Chicago)

adoption fees range from $125 - $150 depending on dog. every dog is spayed/neutered and completely up to date on shots prior to leaving
